PCG's fantastic food and cocktails are surpassed only by its spectacular location and views. With your first step into this contemporary, beachfront establishment, the natural light bounces off the ocean at you through the wall-to-wall windows. There isn't a bad seat in the house whether you're dining at sea level and watching the waves break in front of you or grabbing a cocktail upstairs and taking in the setting sun behind local surfers. This place screams Southern California. And don't let the valet parking fool you because although the straight-from-work and dress-to-impress crowds can be seen, there are plenty of flip flops-clad locals coming in to see the friendly bartenders.

Locals' tips: Its best to go in the late afternoon and secure a table upstairs for the best sunset views, but daytime will also work as you can see dolphins on winter days, para surfing on windy days... It's hard to go wrong with the view. Valet park. Its $4 but you'll pay about the same in the public beach lot next door. While the menu boasts many delicious seafood choices, if seafood is not your thing there is something for everyone. Order the shrimp dumplings in port wine sauce. To. Die. For. Wash it down with a refreshing, vodka-tinged Blackberry Lemonade and you've got the makings of a perfect San Diego evening.
