Once again, my adventure abroad is nearing its end. And once again I am filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the experiences. Gratitude for the kindness of people that helped me along the way. Gratitude for the wonderful diversity in the world. And not least, gratitude for your company.

There's something about observing natural animal behavior that fascinates me. I could easily kill an hour at the zoo watching a single orangutan sit there and meticulously pick the bugs off himself. Which is why I've been constantly lured to the omnipresent monkeys around Bali. Just as you might catch one jumping from tree to tree in the rainforest canopy you might as easily see one hanging out on the village curb. This is truly their home and you realize early on that you are merely a guest in it.

The rice field, that is. And plenty of them! We're back on land in Ubud; a town considered Bali's spiritual center. Significant for sure but with beautiful terrain and scenery busting around its seams, I thought it the perfect place to capture the essence of Balinese culture in my final Indonesian stretch.
